And so I have reached the conclusion of Chrissy Lessey’s trilogy about the coven of witches. My expectations were exceedingly high after book 2 and I couldn’t wait to get started with this final book.
There were some excellent twists throughout the book and I love the use of the title as it has so many interpretations within the plot.
A lot of the book is spent in preparation for the final battle between Susan (boo hiss!)and Stevie (the true queen). To be perfectly honest, I wanted the book to speed up so that I could find out how it ends up for these characters who I have grown to feel a lot of emotion for.
The end fight was fascinating to read and I won’t spoil it by detailing what happens. Part of me is disappointed I have now finished the series as there is so much plot potential still to come as defined in the epilogue.
Isn’t that the sign of a good book though, that it leaves you wanting more and lets your imagination take over from the author…
