Illumibowl review: revolutionise night time toilet trips

Apologies in advance. You will see my bathroom and toilet in the video below. Housework is not my forte but hopefully it doesn’t look too bad!
We were sent an Illumibowl to review. The clue is in the name. It illuminates your toilet bowl using a clever motion sensor to activate a light…THAT CHANGES COLOUR!
Our bathroom light is LOUD 🙁 So at night, when everything else is quiet, is seems even louder… Now the light is no longer needed!
I set the Illumibowl up during the day (it requires 3 AAA batteries) and carefully aligned the motion sensor facing the door to detect anyone entering the room. So quick and easy!
I then forgot about it! Until Chris got the shock of his life when he walked into the bathroom to be confronted by a bright purple toilet! It works brilliantly!
Watch my video to see how we got on with the Illumibowl, my toilet is a star!

This is a great product and I wish we’d had it earlier to encourage potty training at night. The children loved the different colours and we adults enjoyed the quietness as no noisy lights required 🙂 Thank you Illumibowl!

*I was sent this item for the purpose of the review: all photos, video and opinions are my own.

  1. This looks like a fantastic product! I think my two would like something like this in our toilet. They think it’s hilarious that I go to the loo in the dark in the middle of the night, but like you, we have a super noisy light that wakes everyone up when it’s turned on or off!

  2. I saw this online the other day and thought it was a joke! but actually, having read your post, I can definitely see the advantages, especially now that Amelia wants to take the final hurdle in going completely dry overnight! Off to check this out. #RV&HT

  3. This is such a cool idea! Little Man would love it – especially if he needs the loo in the night. Putting all the lights on just wakes us all up. #AnythingGoes

  4. What a great idea! Our bathroom light used to be ridiculously loud and this is a great solution. Would also be great for my potty trained toddler who cannot reach the light unaided.

  5. haha this is one of those things that you don’t know you need until you see it! The bathroom light is awful in the night, and i go a million times then struggle to get back to sleep! #coolmumclub

  6. Oh my days! I did not know such a thing existed. This would be perfect for my nephews as they get a tad scared of the dark, which can lead to a few accidents.
