#Project365 week 36 back to school

So, summer is over and school is back! It has been an incredibly busy week and, as I write this on Saturday afternoon, I think I need another holiday to recover!
Day 245: an unexpected treat! Anya had just been to a party in town and we’d gone for lunch then we discovered this park next to the car park. I’d never been in despite living here for over 30 years! We plan to go back with a picnic sometime soon…

Day 246: finally got around to using some of the apples from our tree. This is an apple and custard tart (recipe will be on the blog soon!)

Day 247: and that’s it, summer has gone. All 3 were back at preschool, infant and junior school on Tuesday.

Day 248: I have got back into the 7 minute workout again and Zach and Ollie ‘help’ me everyday! This is them doing the side plank (or are they just laying down…?)

Day 249: a special treat for me! A blogger event to celebrate the new TV show starting on SkyOne on Friday 14th September at 9pm. We were lucky enough to watch the first epiode of A Discovery Of Witches, meet the author and lead actress and have a private viewing of the Spellbound collection at the Ashmolean!

Day 250: curry and prosecco to celebrate my parents’ 39th wedding anniversary (a day early as we were out on Saturday)

Day 251: Matthew’s Cubs leaders got married last year and they decided to have a blessing and camping trip at their favourite campsite. We went along for the ceremony and birds of prey display but had to get home for Ollie so still no camping yet 🙁

  2. How lovely of the Cubs leaders to celebrate their wedding with a camp! The kids look very smart for going back to school. Happy anniversary to your parents! Mine mentioned their Golden wedding the other day! There’s still three years to go for that one, but time does go very fast.

  4. The apple tart looks scrumptious, I’d love a big slice with a cup of tea. Haven’t been to Spellbound exhibition yet, but I’ve read about it in the local papers, and hope to visit it. The first day of school photo is lovely.
