My very own website!!! Yikes!

Getting the kids engaged with nature with My Living World bird feeder

This half term we enjoyed lots of time outside in the garden. Our garden is frequented by birds as we have lots of trees. We were sent the My Living World bird feeder.

The set is simple to put together but I would advise an adult supervises younger children. The recommended age range is 5+ and I would agree with this due to small parts. However, once put together and attached to the window, the whole family can wait and watch for the birds!

The bird feeder does not come with any bird food but this is easy to buy in many supermarkets or online. It is a good learning activity for children to research the types of food that birds are able to eat.
The feeder can also be screwed onto a fence or wall and we have decided to move ours away from the house to encourage birds to use it.
The My Living World bird feeder has inspired the children to show more interest in garden birds and we have been identifying the different ones we spot.

*We were sent the bird feeder for the purpose of this review.

Birdwatching and appreciating birds in the natural surroundings, an opportunity to appreciate nature from a young age. Possibly building up to a hobby, etc.
