Happy Monday everyone and welcome to Global Blogging.

I am very excited to have been invited to join as a host for 2018. This year we have the extra twist that we want to be more active on social media (see below to get your posts shared on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest).

Speaking of which: exciting news… we have started a Facebook group to get more social engagement. It is brand new but we hope to have comment and share posts on there to promote the blog posts linked up here but also others that you post during the week. Yay! Now some grumpy time 🙁 Sadly, we have noticed that some people are not displaying our badge on the blog post or website (all of mine are at the bottom of every page so I don’t need to remember to add everytime I join a favourite linky) and some people are not reciprocating with comments. From now on, please skip any post that does not have the badge and let us know so we can make sure there wasn’t a problem with adding it. We will also be checking comments so make sure you have #globalblogging at the end of your comment.

My favourite post from last week was this one from Old House in the Shires. I loved this post about teenagers still needing us to be there for them. I feel like my little ones need me less and less but this post reassured me that I still have my uses!

Shank You Very Much chose Bryony-Perfectly Imperfect Mama‘s post as her favourite. I am hugely fortunate to have my parents living 2 streets away so I see them everyday but more importantly so do the children. Grandparents play such an important role and this post highlights some of the reasons we should appreciate them.
