Amazingly, half term has been and gone! I have no idea how it is already over!
You may recall that I set our family a bucket list of things to do… so how did we get on?
Rubbish actually, oops! The time completely ran away from me 🙁
Right then, let’s confess to the failures!
We did NOT go to see the Lego Ninjago Movie at the cinema. Matthew and Any’s obsession with ninjas has been replaced by dinosaurs. We watched Jurassic Park with them (absolutely cringing when a character says ‘shit’! Anya made a dinosaur out of fossils and shells from Chris’ childhood collection!
I did NOT do any baking. I planned to do it and then realised the ingredients were out of date as it had been so long
Chris took Matthew and Anya to the park. Hurrah, a success at last (although I wasn’t involved at all and was having a nap with Zach…)
I did NOT take the kids out on their bikes. It was too hectic to find time.
We took my MIL to the Lexicon for some retail therapy and the kids were able to choose a couple of half term treats plus find some Christmas pressie ideas. We finished with lunch at Harvester: Zach sat and ate solidly for 90 minutes! The following day we went to my sister’s for the day so the kids could play manically with their cousins
