The time after Christmas is often one of over-indulgence as we strive to use up all of the food and drink that we bought in for Christmas, forgetting that we always buy too much!

Here are my top 5 tips for some self care habits to prepare for the new year:
Drink lots of water. It will help you to recover from any over eating or drinking, make your skin clearer, and generally hydrate you.
Enjoy the odd treat but don’t eat or drink too much

Set yourself a goal or resolution for the new year but make sure it is a challenge that is achievable so you can stay positive and look to the future
Get chores over and done with in the morning so you can relax for the rest of the day
Pick your battles: being at home with the family can be stressful so concentrate on the bigger picture
