Anyone planning to do any baking for half term? We are!
My kids loves helping out in the kitchen so I was thrilled to receive this baking set endorsed by Bake Off winner Nadiya.
Anya thought that they were toys for role play so was astonished when I washed them up ready to use for real.
The set contains a mixing bowl, rolling pin, measuting spoons, cutters, silicone cake cases, a whisk, a spatula and a sieve. All in beautiful pastel shades. There is also a brightly coloured apron.
There are 6 recipes cards for tasty treats such as cakes and biscuits.
I think the shape of the mixing bowl is great as it can be used to pour cake or pancake batter more easily than if it had straight sides rather than a slight spout.
First we made biscuits and then jam tarts. I have had to promise the boys that they will have a chance to bake in half term!
The baking equipment feels quite robust and is a good size despite being made for children sized hands. It is all dishwasher safe and the mixing bowl can be used in the microwave.
The deluxe baking set retails for £24.99 and is available from Smyths and other online and high street retailers. There is also a simple baking set and savoury cooking set from Nadiya’s range.
