Nutella is a firm family favourite in our house and is often used to sandwich cakes together or as an icing. Today the Nutella went in the cake mix!
4oz golden caster sugar
4oz butter or soft margairne
5oz self raising flour
4-5 tablespoons of Nutella
Whisk together the sugar, butter and eggs for 2-3 minutes.
Fold in the flour. Add a splash of milk if required (gluten free flour absorbs more liquid so the batter may be a bit thick)
Pour half of the batter in the tin.
Spoon Nutella down the middle then cover with the remaining cake mix.
Bake GM5 for 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and cover with foild. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for 30 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool fully.
Slice and enjoy!
